Flower from Heaven

When I was a little kid, I used to dream that somebody would come to me and answer all my childish doubt and make me happy. Once my uncle visited us from India. He had spent long years in Bombay. His arrival was well greeted by our fellow neighbors and folks. Perhaps the happiest persons to see him were my younger sister and I. For almost a week, he was occupied with his friends and folk. We were a bit upset about it, because he could hardly spend time with us. On one occasion, while he was busy with his friends, my sister tried to interrupt him. She was asking him to tell us stories. As my uncle continued his conversation with his friend, she started crying. Perhaps she felt ignored by her beloved uncle. With his full attention, he held her and kissed her. He wiped her tear with his handkerchief. He politely apologized her and agreed to tell us a story of a magician.

“Many years ago, there was a king. He was well respected for his bravery, honesty, kindness and leadership. One day, a magician, and his beautiful wife visited the palace. He was eager to show his magical talent to this great king. All the members of royal family, ministers and distinguished delegates were invited to see the magical illusion. The show had begun. He held a vase and covered it with handkerchief. When the hankie was removed, the vase was converted into a transparent drinking glass. Inside the glass there was an egg. He again covered the glass with his magical hankie and when he removed it a bird flew out of the glass.”

With her astounded voice, my sister asked the uncle how that could be possible. My uncle simply answered, "He was a magician." My uncle continued the story.
After his astonishing magical performance, the magician announced that he was going to give a great gift, to the king, “ a bunch of flowers from heaven”. No one believed that he could indeed go to heaven and bring a bunch of flowers. Indeed it was a great challenge to many audiences. The only condition for his endeavor was the safety of his beautiful wife. The King agreed to provide the full safety of his wife.

The journey to heaven began as his magical trick created an infinitely long ladder. As he climbed up the ladder, he crossed the thick cloud and vanished into the sky. Everybody was amazed by his daring magic. Nobody knew whether he was alive or dead. Some were even critical about if he indeed went to heaven. The moment on the earth was very intense; everybody was talking about the heaven’s flowers. The rumor spread across the country, and people from distant lands came to the palace to see “The Heaven’s Flowers”.
