NEBRASKA
Nebraska extended two arms
Bowed to me
I slapped him slowly with love like my son
And threw his ice into abyss
-You should not play with ice its too cold like corpse
The ice melted and became water
Flew away in the sky and became a pretty wind
Nebraska became warmth of winter.
One day, Nebraska came in my apartment being a girl of age 7
And said to me about the Sudden death of her mother
One day Nebraska came near by me …old and wrinkled
And talked about the Sun that came first time in his life in this X-Mas
Sometimes Nebraska is so simple like a village
Sometimes Nebraska is so complex like metropolitan
Sometimes it’s like Kathmandu
Sometimes it’s like an American woman
Facing difficulties to walk in the streets.
‘TARGET’ ‘ALBERTSON’ ‘Dollar General’ ‘HYVEE’
Just one of these markets is bigger than our supermarket of Bishal Bazaar.
- Nebraska,
Where the Senators celebrate the passing of the bill of lethal injection as the mode of execution instead of Electric Chair
Where there is twenty-four hours cold air for public
And hot water at Rest Rooms.
Nebraska is a joke for a pedestrian
Nebraska is a coloured dream who has a car
Naked trees, big eagles and crows with thick hair
Comfortable wooden apartments, American tile
And ‘Cappuccino’,
Gray field, so cold and chilling wind
Oh such a chilling wind, first time in my life
Well-mannered old women’s and young businessmen’s
Daydreams – NEBRASKA
